Roaster's Notes
Spring is here and so is one of our favorite coffees from Rwanda. We're excited to welcome Warakoze Musaza by way of Sundog Trading. Directly translating to 'thank you old man' in Kinyarwanda, Warakoze Musaza is one of three core lot separations. 'Musaza' holds and portrays a very strong sense of honor and respect. In this same spirit, the producer group aims to honor an elder generation of coffee growers. These producers have been growing coffee their entire lives, throughout which they’ve seen both Rwanda and its coffee sector drastically change. We found this cup to be unique amongst our tastings this year—it's filled with a sweet and balanced mix of raisin and caramel tied in with red fruits like Pomegranate. This one is sure to keep us coming back for another cup.
