Award-winning grower Paul Kevin Doyle begin his career in the 1980s, in Portland Oregon, a schoolteacher-turned-roaster. He built his first espresso cart by hand; now, decades later, he hand-grows the very coffees—fruity, silky, and sweet—that made him fall in love with coffee. His Gesha program is his pride and joy: he personally grew each tree from a small seedling, transplanting them into the soil himself.
