Keala's Hawaiian Coffee Story

This 100% Oahu-grown coffee is an excellent representative for the island best known for Diamond Head and world-renowned Waikiki Beach. Grown on land devoted to sugar cane for generations, Keala's reveals the harmony between New and Old. Fine notes of clove and ginger are balanced by an earthy-body reminiscent of fresh papaya.

"Absolutely adored this coffee. The first day I tried it, I went back to sleep in the afternoon so I could wake up to it again. Doesn't seem like a showstopper at first but it is absolutely, fantastically enjoyable. This was especially great for a day spent writing and drinking coffee."

"Tried hot and cold. Couldn’t drink it. Too spicy and smoky for me. I’m not a fan of dark or bold roasts in the first place but I was hopeful because I am in love with the 100% Kona. "

"A smooth cup of coffee with an interesting quality of the spiciness kinda hitting the roof of your mouth. Not a favorite, but a decent cup of coffee nonetheless."

"Very tasty. The spiciness dominates without overpowering. Much more complex than you might expect for a single origin."

"This was interesting. Most coffees I've had taste better after cooling, but this one tasted way better after sitting and cooling for a long time. A little too earthy for me, but after this cooling stage tasted sweet, was smooth and bold and the clove and ginger were quite nice. french press."

"At first I was caught off guard by the ginger notes, I wasn’t expecting them to be strong. But the more I sipped on the coffee, the more I enjoyed it. It was very smooth, and had notes of spice and of course the ginger. I think it would pair really well with a coffee cake. It was delicious! "

"This has a very light mouthfeel and is very smooth. It's complex and interesting, with a bit of ginger at the end. I prefer it alone; food tends to overpower it. I made mine in a french press."

"This was a solid drip. However the spicy notes of clove and ginger we're too much for me"

"We got this coffee after having some Kona coffee when visiting the Big Island. It is well rounded but seems to be lacking some of what the Hawaiian coffees are really known for. "

"Subtle notes but great for hearty breakfast nothing over owing to distract from food"

"Amazing depth of taste. Worth the extra cost, even for a smaller bag. "
