Curator's Notes

A wonderfully sweet Colombian coffee, perfectly roasted to bring out the dance between fruit and chocolate. Juicy and vibrant to the end. Sip happy!

Roaster's Notes

La Caldera is a blend from small producers who grow their beans in the volcanic soil of Narino. Complex, dynamic, and bright, this coffee reminds us of fresh Pacific Northwest berries and cream, panela, plum, and apple. A prize.

"One of my favorite Coffee Brands Bean Box has but I did not LOVE this coffee. Was just ok. I mean its still better than your corner Starbucks.... Just being fair, like this coffee.... "

"A unique blend of flavors! Used the pour over and the french press. Enjoyed the coffee made both ways! "

"I like what might be plum and chocolate flavors, but hubby thought it was a little earthy and gives it 3/5."

"Agree with others who noticed the fruit over the chocolate and caramel. It was an okay cup of coffee, but not our favorite."

"I enjoyed this lighter roast. The flavors were not over powering and did not leave a bitter taste."

"I made this with a pour-over. I couldn't detect a lot of the subtle chocolate or plum notes, but the coffee was still smooth and tasted okay."

"I was very excited to try this coffee since I prefer darker roasts and enjoy chocolate notes in my coffee. While this is one of the better light roasts I've had, the chocolate didn't really come through and the coffee didn't taste as I anticipated. Very smooth and bright, but not terribly complex."

"aeropress, served Black This had a nice chocolaty flavor when first cupped but as it cooled the coffee brightened into infinity. I was shocked. It was good coffee but I wouldn't order a bag of it."

"I was excited for the chocolate and caramel notes on a light roast because I usually find those more prevalent on a dark, but they never came! Heavy fruit notes that sit on the back of the tongue, but nothing else really comes out. Good coffee, not my favorite. Made with a french press."

"Very fruity notes definitely came through, but couldn't quite get any chocolate, which I think could've balanced it out nicely. A tad too sweet for me, but admittedly that's open to interpretation. The SO really enjoyed it!"
