Curator's Notes

When we first smelled this cup, we wondered if someone had spiked our drink. With all the (Southern?) comfort of a spicy brown liquor, this buttery-smooth coffee whisked us away. Soft, mellow plum and fig notes provide a light buoyancy to the rich flavors. A wonderfully unique experience for a coffee lover, a whiskey lover, or an armchair traveler. For the truly adventurous, add a shot of real whiskey and a dollop of whipped cream for a fantastic after-dinner cocktail.

Roaster's Notes

Myanmar has been producing specialty coffee for only a couple of years now but once you taste the Oat Twin you’ll see why they are quickly becoming one of the most sought after origins for high quality coffee. The coffee we purchase comes from farms held by the minority group Danu. By purchasing their coffee, we support communities in Myanmar which have long endured poor treatment by the government

"This is an interesting one. A full bodied light roast with deep flavor. I get the brown liquor comments in the tasting notes. Brewed with a v60."

"By far the best coffee I have had to date! Really mad I just got around to this bag from my sample box to see its now only sold out! I'm hoping there will be more of it in the future. IT IS DELICIOUS! "

"A definitive whiskey/winey body and a pleasant sweetness on the tongue. Mellows and becomes light and tea like when it cools, with more pronounced fig sweetness. Vague pomegranate sweetness as well. It's a great cup!"
