A cup this juicy, this silky-smooth? It’s no illusion! This naturally processed Colombia is a rare treat, with bright notes of orange and a savory finish that reminds us of a bowl of Bananas Foster. It’s the stuff awakenings are made of.
Grown in Huila, Colombia, by a small farmer who became involved in coffee through a government program to help those displaced by conflict. This sun-dried natural lot has notes of orange, ripe banana, and a rich caramel finish.
"A thick, juicy, meaty, full fat coffee that makes your head spin and your bowels twist. Truly a joy when you need a pick me up to set one down."
"fruity but not too sweet, balanced by a slightly bitter after-taste in a pour-over."
"This coffee is awesome. It comes off very fruity and chocolatey. I love light coffees, so this fits the bill. It's amazing how rich the flavor is for how light the beans are. They are some of the lightest beans I've ever seen. Very scrumptious. One of my new favorites."
"It was quite an interesting coffee with definite banana notes. Made as an espresso with some steamed milk. Didn't need to add any creamer!"
"The notes of orange were very prominent; personally I'm not a fan of fruit-forward coffees, but it was a good change of pace from my usual cup."
"My new favorite, it is silky and savory. love it and will definitely buy it again. "
"Tastes like straight up banana cream pie and nilla wafers - It even smells like it tastes. This was an amazing cup."
"Very tasty. I could definitely taste the banana flavor, with a mild caramel flavor; kind of like a toasted marshmallow sweetness. Not bad."
"I made this into a cold brew which I normally do not do with lighter brews, but I am so glad I did. While I was drinking it I said about 3 times how much I loved it. It has a very different suttle banana flavor with lite sweetness. Perfect for a hot day! "
"I purchased a bag of this delicious coffee as well as experiencing as part of a flight at Slates pin Ballard. Smooth, naturally processed, sweet a real winner. "
"Very light, smooth roast. The banana is not a very strong flavor. Has a carmelly finish."
"By far one of my favorites and will order once available again. Good for after dinner and a lighter more fruiter coffee is in order but my favorite is taking my favorite dark roast and grinding some of this in with it to taste to give me a personal favorite blend. "
"Too bright and acidic for my taste but that may just be because I prefer a darker roast. Complex underlying tastes though"
"Brewed in chemex. Slate doesn't make a bad roast.....EVER. This is delicate, you can taste the banana and finishes with a shortbread cookie. Well done Slate you did not disappoint once again!"
