A delicious forerunner for the new crop Guatemala season, this washed roast has sweet, creamy tasting notes like a dessert table of chocolate fondue and tropical fruit. Fruity and complex as a pour over, lovely as cold brew. Could this be the Year of the Guat? Count us in!
Here's the good news - this year's Guatemalan coffees are the best they have been in nearly 10 years. This year we have the good fortune to offer Aragon, which tastes like milk chocolate, and tropical fruit-- pineapple, mango, and papaya-- is excellent for any form of manual brewing and is particularly delicious as cold brew.
"(Review #60 - 3.9 / 5) A pleasant, inoffensive cup. Somewhat complex, sporting a fruity sweet-cream profile. Has a mix of milk chocolate and marginal notes of pineapple, mango and papaya. Has a light mouthfeel and fleeting aftertaste whose complex notes never develop into anything defining."
"I'm still wrapping my head around this one. I am thoroughly enjoying the first cup but the taste is unique. The fruit rates come through without being overpowering and there's a certain sweetness that works well with the dash of milk that is my preference."
"To me this didn't have the deep, complex flavor that I look for in coffee, and was a bit acidic. Not bad, but not my favorite kind of coffee. "
"I was unsure how this was going to taste but was pleasantly surprised! It was very good. "
"This was great cold, it was refreshing on a hot day and not as acidic as you would think it would be given the flavor. Loved it!"
"Excellent blend of fruits and a hint of chocolate. Brewed over ice is by far my favorite iced coffee I’ve had!! The finish is smooth and subtly sweet and a fresh fruit burst! Tried hot as well and it’s still very good but I prefer on ice. "
"This was a very unique coffee, definitely enjoyable and worth buying again"
"Refreshing and bright, with a very smooth mouthfeel. chocolate notes come through strongly and the sweetness blends nicely with the flavors."
