A landlocked country in Southern Africa, Zambia is most popularly known for Victoria Falls, the largest waterfall in the world. Bordering other coffee-producing countries of Malawi, Tanzania, and Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia grows coffee primarily in the Northern region, near its capital Lusaka. Zambian coffee, like other East African coffees, can range from a bright, fruity, and Kenya-like, to more complex and subtle. While logistical and agricultural challenges often stand in the way of moving high-quality beans into the U.S., when Zambian coffee is produced with love, shipped quickly, and ends up with the right roaster, its flavors rival those of any fantastic African brew.

This fine roast is from the Kateshi and Isanya Estates, grown from 1500-1600 meters. Certified as highest quality AAA/AA, along with Rain Forest Alliance. Fruity and sweet, yet mellow, with notes of watermelon, apricot, and lemon/lime.
