This awesome lot comes from Finca Los Dos Socios in La Libertad, Huehuetenango, Guatemala. The farm’s name, which is translated as “the two partners, is owned and operated by Concepción Villatoro Matias and his son. The Villatoros purchased the farm in 1990, and have been farming coffee continuously at the site ever since.
In the dry aroma you’ll notice a forward rye bread, followed by notes of lemon and orange citrus. It then finishes with a light vanilla fragrance. You’ll find that this coffee has a mellow but round body, the acidity is reminiscent of a fresh pear. Dos Socios finishes with a richly pleasant cashew note as it calmly disappears from your palate.
"4.5 / 5 - BARELY good enough to be excellent, but too good to be great. Very sweet and almost soda-like, but smooth (like a cashew)! Citrus, Lime, Luscious! " (5 out of 5)
"very nice flavor blend! i honestly wasnt expecting to like the lime... its a mellow hint that somehow is blended in there just right. i had espresso with milk. very smooth. " (4 out of 5)
"Very good light toast coffee. Definitely has grassy notes with a slightly brine flavor. Brewed in French press and enjoyed black. Very well roasted coffee, on do th e better light roasts that we have received. Not everyone enjoys light roasts but this is a great one." (5 out of 5)
"Decaf but you would have to tell me that! Awesome roast by Victrola. Can really taste the cinnamon and nut flavors here. Lovely for when I want a sting flavor but don't need the buzz! Worth a try for sure." (4 out of 5)
