Blogger Kayla Mills shares her healthy morning routine that gets her ready for the day.

§ What time do you get to sleep? What time do you wake up?
I go to sleep around 9-9:30pm every night! I am not a night person at all, so I rarely stay awake past 11pm even on the weekends! I wake up at 5am three times a week to make it to my workout class at 6am! I am such a morning person and love waking up with the sun to start my day early!
§ What do you dream about?
I usually dream about what's on my mind. I'll often dream about television shows I watch or something that is currently going on in my life. It's almost like my brain is trying to sort it out while I sleep! Haha!
§ What’s the first thing you do once you’re awake?
The first thing I do is drink a big glass of water! I always feel dehydrated when I wake up, so I want to make sure that I get enough water before working out!
§ What morning ritual do you have that’s sacred to starting your day off right?
A relaxing post-workout shower, followed by coffee! Depending on the weather, I'll reach for a hot or iced coffee! I'll then make myself breakfast and spend time with my dogs to ease into the day.
§ What one possession/object is essential to your morning?
Coffee! My day doesn't feel like it has officially started until I have a cup of coffee!
§ With whom do you spend your mornings?
I spend my mornings with my fiancé and our 2 dogs!
§ What do you eat for breakfast?
Fall/Winter: Steel-cut oatmeal with coconut sugar is my favorite breakfast! Spring/Summer: Fruit smoothie or overnight oats!
§ What kind of coffee do you drink in the morning, and how do you prepare it?
I love medium roast coffee with vanilla almond milk! During the week, I'll have coffee from my Keurig, but on the weekends, I love making french press with a darker roast to switch it up!
§ What’s the one upgrade you wish you could add to your morning?
I would love to have more time to walk my dogs or read in the morning!
§ What do you consider the end of your morning?
Usually when I leave for work to see clients and it's time to get into work mode!
