Lisa's mornings are an exercise in controlled habits, and reaching out to people about whom she dreamed the night before.

§ What time do you get to sleep? What time do you wake up?
Around midnight. I’m a night owl! Anyone of my friends can attest to that from college. I was the queen of all-nighters, or maybe that’s just procrastination… I wake up around 7:30am, or unfortunately, 10 minutes before my alarm goes off.
§ What do you dream about?
I’m notorious for dreaming about the last person I spoke to on the phone or texted with before I went to sleep, and then I’ll wake-up and text that person my dream the next morning. They are always super clear and realistic.
§ What’s the first thing you do once you’re awake?
I like to sleep with the air-conditioning blasting, so I wake-up, turn my thermostat from cool to heat, hit the ON button on my coffee maker, grab my breakfast bar, and run back into bed until my place warms up.
§ What morning ritual do you have that’s sacred to starting your day off right?
Coffee (from my Bean Box Sampler of course), workout, blast music, shower and then I’m off! I’ll be in a groggy state until I get my coffee and workout in.
§ What one possession/object is essential to your morning?
I promise no one is paying me to say this, but I can’t start my day without my coffee maker. I go into a panic when I realize I don’t have enough coffee beans for the morning. It’s a good thing I’m a type A personality who preps for my next day at night!
§ With whom do you spend your mornings?
That depends. I start my mornings with my favorite Bravo TV reality stars while I drink my coffee and have breakfast, and then it’s either Tracey Mallett while she’s kicking my butt with her “booty barre” DVD, or my neighbors while I’m in our building’s gym.
§ What do you eat for breakfast?
I’m a creature of habit, and for years I’ve always had a Think Thin protein bar for breakfast. I’m obsessed. If it’s the weekend, I’ll break my habit to get brunch with friends.
§ What kind of coffee do you drink in the morning, and how do you prepare it?
I've been a Bean Box subscriber since they started shipping out boxes, and I will literally stand by my coffee maker reading the different tasting notes to decide on which coffee I’ll make. I’ve discovered my favorite roast type is medium... I mean who doesn’t love chocolatey coffee, and nutty tasting notes?!
§ What’s the one upgrade you wish you could add to your morning?
I think everyone could use more time in their mornings!
§ What do you consider the end of your morning?
Right after I walk out my door and lock it.
