A natural favorite: literally! Mauricio Salaverria routinely coaxes award-winning flavors from his natural process pacamara coffees, including buttery caramel, bright tropical fruit, and honey like florals. It’s the (caramel) apple of our eye.
This incredible family farm in the Ahuachapan region of El Salvador produces remarkable coffee while maintaining a focus on environmental sustainability and agricultural experimentation. Under the leadership of Mauricio Salaverria, the farm has employed multiple different processing methods on various coffee varieties. This year they bring us a beautiful naturally processed Pacamara variety. The complex flavors that come from this cup are a mix of sweetness and spice with cupping notes of caramel apple, plum wine, and jasmine.
"Brewed with a chemex, I was able to pull out candy apple and caramel notes. I've never tasted apple favors so pronounced in coffee - A very pleasant surprise. It's light, juicy and full of complex flavor. Every sip had me wondering, "what will I taste next?""
"This coffee went super fast in our house, not sure if it's the snow and cold weather or the delicious taste of this roast :) This coffee smells so great out of the bag and tastes even better in your cup! Really easy on the palate, great cup to start the day with. This is a coffee anyone can enjoy."
