The Paz family and San Vicente are big names in Honduran coffee, and this roast shows you why: bold, syrupy notes of cherry and sweet tomato, mellow mango finish. Enjoy this limited lot before we have to say that “Elvis” has left the building!
Our first Honduran coffee release of 2017 is from the famed San Vicente mill and our friend and milling expert Benjamin Paz. This coffee blew our minds on the cupping table, showing many of the same characteristics of Kenyan coffees. Get ready for a super sweet cup, with griping mouthfeel and tropical fruit acidity for days and days.
"Not getting the same as their description, but bright, clean, a little citrusy (Chemex)" (4 out of 5)
"This was the first coffee I tried from my Bean Box free trial. I enjoyed it, and the strong cherry flavor was evident, but I definitely prefer a darker roast than this. A light roast lover will really enjoy this coffee!" (3 out of 5)
"Solid cup of coffee! Though this is a lighter roast, the notes aren't to citrusy, and the cup feels bright and warming. I do tend to choose darker roasts for myself, but if I'm looking for a light roast in the future, I may turn back to this one!" (4 out of 5)
"The first thing that hits you with this blend is the smell, it has a very earthy smell, but upon first taste, you are hit with a hint of cherry. I was unable to taste any other flavor, but that does not detract from a great tasting coffee!" (4 out of 5)
"delicious. great acidity, super bright to wake you up in the morning. " (5 out of 5)
"Drank this coffee this morning. The cherry notes are quite notable, though the rest is pretty light aside from that. Made it with a pourover." (4 out of 5)
